Photo Friday – cowboys, messes and foam pits

24 Feb

Cowboy Days at schools – thankfully they were on different days, as we only have one bandana and one hat.  Clearly we are not very active cowboys.20120224-074349.jpg

I spend 10 minutes taking pictures of food and turn around to see this:

Not sure why taking off the couch cushions is so entertaining, but he does it almost daily.  Reason #324 I’m glad we don’t have fancy furniture.

Reading a (very good) book about fermentation while drinking a home-fermented beverage.  I think I’ll read a book about wine tonight and drink, well, wine.  Or maybe I’ll skip the book….

That’s my Rainbow Smoothie post in the bottom left corner. Squeal!

I totally forgot about forts made with cushions…your kids always bring back so many memories for me, I love it!

I love when I have to jump into the pit to ‘help’ my kids get out. I even hang on the bars when I think no one is looking.

Your kids as cowboys: Cutest things ever!
Kids and couch cushions: Oh the countless hours I’ve spent reassembling ours. We have two.
Home fermentation: I’m thinking of trying saurkraut, but no one else in the house likes it. Worth the effort?
Your smoothies on Moms Daily Buzz: Totally awesome and congrats!
Jumping into big foam cubes that look like cheese: You are the best mom ever.

I’m thinking about making sauerkraut too, and, like you, will be the only one eating eat. Still, it looks pretty easy and cheap, so I’m thinking it’s worth a try. Actually, I don’t even know if I like sauerkraut, but I think if I go to the effort of making it, I’ll make myself eat it. I’m stubborn like that. :)
